Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is national level board of India. It is managed by Government of India. Earlier, it was known as the Board of High School and Intermediate Education till 1961. All the Kendriya Vidhyalya (central schools), Jawahar Navodya Vidhyalya, private schools and government schools are affiliated with CBSE. There are approximately 21, 271 schools in India and 309 schools in abroad which are affiliated with CBSE. CBSE affiliated schools follow the NCERT curriculum.
